Local college students and hospital interns apply academic knowledge to real world processes at Dyess AFB. The goal is to identify opportunities for improvement in Services, Aircraft, Maintenance, Civil Engineering, Security Forces, Supply, Hazardous Waste, Vehicle Maintenance and Medical arenas.
Benefit:
The Installation gains potential efficiencies estimate at $5K annually, attracts potential recruits through positive internship experience and processes base generated ideas through academic rigor. The Community gains the sharing of new processes/equipment, students able to practically apply new lessons; visibility to potential follow-on career fields and the potential to recruit.
